Replay: How to Leverage Public Relations for Growth at Any Stage Workshop with Elyse Koenig
Understand what you need from a publicist, find the perfect PR team or editor, put together your first press kit, and create a pitch calendar using PR basics.
Elyse Koenig is a beauty and wellness industry veteran who has worked cross-functionally on skin care, haircare, color cosmetics, men's grooming, fitness studios, and more in both the mass market and prestige verticals. Helping brands grow and succeed in a crowded marketplace is her passion, and it’s Elyse's mission to make her clients stand out above the noise.
With 14 years of experience in beauty, Elyse honed her skills at top beauty agencies in New York City, including LaForce and Alison Brod, before becoming the first in-house PR Director for Too Faced Cosmetics in Los Angeles. She then developed and led the beauty and wellness division of Wetherly Group, a bicoastal fashion agency. There she was charged with signing new business for the emerging division and managing the cross-country team.
In 2016, having worked at agencies big and small as well as in-house for a global cosmetics powerhouse, Elyse was ready to strike out on her own and create Elyse Koenig: Beauty & Wellness Consulting.
Elyse currently oversees the bicoastal “Team EKC” from West Hollywood with supporting publicists in NYC & LA.
Team EKC grew in 2020 to include senior and junior level publicists on both coasts. With Elyse as the strategic partner and main point of contact for clients, having a team has allowed for more pitching power, incredible relationship building across all levels of editors, and to have boots on the ground in two of the country’s most valuable beauty and editorial hubs.
No matter your budget, public relations is key to steady growth. This workshop will help you understand what you need from a publicist, find the perfect PR team or editor, put together your first press kit, and create a pitch calendar using PR basics. It's all here!
