When her eldest son developed a severe medical condition, Beauty by Earth’s Founder Prudence Millsap was told to start looking at the ingredients in her household cleaners, personal care products -- all of it. The more she did this, the more disappointed she became.
This led Prudence to stop blindly trusting brands that touted that they were “natural” or “clean” and I started reading ingredient lists and asking questions. She wanted to create clean products and wanted all people to be able to afford these amazing products.
January 2014 Beauty by Earth became a reality. Prudence and her partner jumped in with both feet, took in no funding, bootstrapped their business and launched their first product on Amazon by April 2014. In one year, the beauty by earth team went from 0 to 50,000 sales in one year. They were committed to even more, though. They doubled-down and worked tirelessly crafting innovative products that were incredibly clean and crazy effective.
